What does it do?<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n Checks multiple conditions and returns the value of the first TRUE condition<\/p>\n Formula breakdown:<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n =IFS(logical_test1<\/span>, value_if_true1<\/span>, [logical_test2, value_if_true2], …<\/span>)<\/p>\n What it means:<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n =IFS(first condition to check<\/span>, value to return<\/span>, [succeeding conditions to check], …<\/span>)<\/p>\n If you have multiple logical conditions to check, instead of creating Nested IF Formulas<\/a>, we can use\u00a0Excel’s IFS Formula!<\/strong> It allows us to specify multiple conditions to check, then the\u00a0IFS Formula<\/strong> will look for the first condition that gets satisfied!<\/p>\n Let us try it out on a simple tax table, then we will create an\u00a0IFS Formula<\/strong> that will simulate the exact same logic of the table!<\/p>\n I explain how you can do this below:<\/p>\n
