Pivot tables are considered a great tool for data handling due to their large capacity for customizing the field arrangement. You can easily move and remove fields and items<\/strong> in your pivot table for managing and displaying your data according to your requirements.<\/p>\n

The best thing is it gives you full control over how you want your final table to look<\/strong>. Let us see how we can achieve this!<\/p>\n

Here is how our Pivot Table is currently setup:<\/p>\n

STEP 1:<\/strong><\/span> Let us work with rows first. Let’s move the TONIC<\/strong> row down one spot.<\/p>\n

Right click on the\u00a0TONIC row <\/strong>and go to\u00a0Move > Move “TONIC” Down<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

It now moved one spot below<\/p>\n

\"Move<\/p>\n

STEP 2:<\/strong><\/span> You can also move it by typing the value as well!<\/p>\n

Let us move it to the last Product row. Type in TONIC\u00a0<\/strong>at the last Product row.<\/p>\n

And just like that it has now moved to the bottom!<\/p>\n

STEP 3:<\/strong><\/span> What if we want to update the hierarchy of our Fields? Right click on any Product row and go to\u00a0Move > Move “PRODUCTS” To End<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

Now it’s the Salesperson that is now showing the Product Details<\/p>\n

\"Move<\/p>\n

STEP 4:<\/strong><\/span> The same tips apply for the columns as well. Let us try it out!<\/p>\n

Let’s move the 2014 <\/b>column<\/strong> to the very end.<\/p>\n

Right click on the\u00a02014 column <\/strong>and go to\u00a0Move > Move “2014” to End<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

And there you have it!<\/p>\n

STEP 5:<\/strong><\/span> To remove the field. You simply right click on the field and select\u00a0Remove.<\/strong><\/p>\n

In our scenario, right click on\u00a0BOTTLES<\/strong> and select\u00a0Remove “PRODUCTS”<\/strong><\/p>\n

You are now left with the Salesperson field<\/strong> for your rows!<\/p>\n
