Even with the same Pivot Table<\/a> field setup, you can achieve different views in your Pivot Table<\/strong> just by changing the Sum of Values\u00a0<\/strong>field. Let us explore how to change sum view in label areas that we will get from tweaking the Pivot Table!<\/p>\n

STEP 1:<\/strong><\/span> Here is our Pivot Table. Drag the Sales<\/strong> field to the Values<\/strong> area.<\/p>\n

Notice we have the\u00a0Sum of Values\u00a0<\/strong>field added as well into the\u00a0Columns<\/strong> area. This happens because we have more than one metric in our\u00a0Values<\/strong> area.<\/p>\n

STEP 2:<\/strong><\/span> Let us change the second\u00a0Sum of Sales\u00a0<\/strong>field into Count. Click on the arrow and select\u00a0Value Field Settings<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"Change<\/p>\n

STEP 3:<\/strong><\/span> Select Count\u00a0<\/strong>and click\u00a0OK<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"Change<\/p>\n

STEP 4:<\/strong><\/span> Now that we have our count, drag the\u00a0Sum of Values\u00a0<\/strong>field to the\u00a0Rows\u00a0<\/strong>area and see what happens!<\/p>\n

STEP 5:<\/strong><\/span> We have a completely different view. Now try moving the\u00a0Sum of Values\u00a0<\/strong>field above the\u00a0SALES REGION\u00a0<\/strong>field<\/p>\n

And there you have the different views just by moving the\u00a0Sum of Values\u00a0<\/strong>field!<\/p>\n
