In Excel, you can add a new column that displays the maximum in Pivot Tables<\/strong>\u00a0in just a few clicks. And this is based on the field that you have selected. In our example, we want to show the maximum sales amount for each salesperson<\/strong>!<\/p>\n

This is our Pivot Table<\/a>:<\/p>\n

STEP 1:<\/strong><\/span> Drag Sales\u00a0<\/strong>to Values. This will default to become Sum of SALES<\/strong><\/p>\n

STEP 2:<\/strong><\/span> Click on the arrow beside\u00a0Sum of SALES\u00a0<\/strong>and select\u00a0Value Field Settings<\/strong><\/p>\n

STEP 3:<\/strong><\/span> Select\u00a0Max\u00a0<\/strong>under\u00a0Summarize value field by<\/strong>. Click\u00a0OK<\/strong><\/p>\n

Now you have the maximum sales value for that specific year, product, and salesperson<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

You can quickly check the maximum values here and determine who will get that sweet bonus!<\/p>\n
