We want to use Pivot Tables to create a group by sales ranging between 10,000 to 100,000<\/strong> and then get a count and sum of sales<\/strong> of these ranges. Following the step-by-step tutorial below<\/strong> this result can easily be achieved:<\/p>\n

STEP 1:<\/strong><\/span> Let us start with an empty Pivot Table<\/a>. Drag\u00a0Sales<\/strong> to\u00a0Rows<\/strong><\/p>\n

STEP 2:<\/strong><\/span> Right-click on any Sales value and select Group<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"Group<\/p>\n

STEP 3:<\/strong><\/span> Let us set our group range<\/strong> to 10,000-100,000<\/strong> with the groupings<\/strong>\u00a0by 10,000<\/strong>. Click\u00a0OK.<\/strong><\/p>\n

STEP 4:<\/strong><\/span> Now drag Sales\u00a0<\/strong>to Values<\/strong> twice<\/p>\n

STEP 5:<\/strong><\/span> We will get 2 similar columns. We want to have them show the Sum<\/strong> and Count<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Select any one of the columns and pick\u00a0Value Field Settings<\/strong><\/p>\n

STEP 6:<\/strong><\/span> Select\u00a0Sum<\/strong> and click\u00a0OK<\/strong><\/p>\n

Now you are able to gather data based on the grouped sales figures!<\/p>\n
