This is known as a<strong> fill handle Excel<\/strong> and it can <strong>fill adjoining cells with subsequent data following a certain pattern<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>For example, cells A1, A2, and A3 have the values 1,2, and 3. So using the fill handle, you can fill all the cells below with values that follow in the series, like 4,5,6\u2026. can easily use Excel Fill handle feature!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #339966\"><strong><a id=\"lesson2\"><\/a>Not selecting all values<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>It can even be that you have<strong> not selected the entire range that has your sequential values<\/strong>. <strong>Just selecting the last cell will fill only that value in the cells<\/strong> where you drag the fill handle in Excel.<\/p>\n<p>For example, if we drag the fill handle after only selecting cell B8, the entire range is filled only with the value \u201c1002\u201d.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.myexcelonline.com\/meo-staging\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/image2.png\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"Why Fill Handle Excel not working?\" range<\/strong> and then using the fill handle will <strong>fill the new cells in sequential order<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><a Excel recognize the pattern<\/strong> and correctly fill the subsequent cells.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #339966\"><strong><a id=\"lesson3\"><\/a>Auto Fill options<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Suppose you have<strong> entered the date<\/strong> and you want to <strong>use the fill handle to get only weekdays<\/strong>. If you <strong>use the fill handle like before<\/strong>, it will just<strong> add the next dates in adjacent cells<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><a
