Substring means extracting a particular string from a combination of strings<\/strong>. For example, extracting the word \u201cMy\u201d from the sentence \u201cMy Excel Online\u201d. Substring is an integrated function in Excel<\/a><\/strong> which means we cannot outright extract strings.<\/p>\n

But we can use different functions or a combination of functions to extract any particular string. A few substring functions<\/strong> that we can use in Excel are:<\/p>\n
