{"id":8870,"date":"2021-03-17T13:15:35","date_gmt":"2021-03-17T12:15:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.myexcelonline.com\/?p=8870"},"modified":"2024-02-06T19:20:06","modified_gmt":"2024-02-06T18:20:06","slug":"power-pivot-is-now-available-in-all-versions-of-excel","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.myexcelonline.com\/meo-staging\/blog\/power-pivot-is-now-available-in-all-versions-of-excel\/","title":{"rendered":"Power Pivot is now available in all versions of Excel"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Microsoft has just announced that Excel Power Pivot will now be available in all <a class=\"wpil_keyword_link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.microsoft.com\/en-us\/microsoft-365\/download-office\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" title=\"Windows\" data-wpil-keyword-link=\"linked\">Windows<\/a> editions of Excel, which is awesome news and a step in the right direction.<\/p>\n\n<p>Here is what they<strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/excel.uservoice.com\/forums\/304921-excel-for-windows-desktop-application\/suggestions\/9018823-make-power-pivot-available-in-all-versions-of-exce\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">announced<\/a>:<\/strong><\/p>\n<blockquote><p>I\u2019m happy to announce that your input has had another direct impact on the product. In this case, a decision has been made to have Power Pivot be available in all Windows editions (\u201cSKUs\u201d) of Excel! This means the Business, Home, Standard, etc.. all of these will have Power Pivot. As your comments have indicated, Power Pivot has moved from targeting a specialized audience to generally useful capability for working with data in spreadsheets. As such, it makes sense to make this as broadly available as possible.<\/p>\n<p>We have started rolling this change out with the April Current Channel updates (Builds 9330 and beyond). I\u2019m also happy to announce that these\u00a0<span class=\"caps\">SKU<\/span>\u00a0changes will be reflected on the upcoming 2019 version as well.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Previously in the 2016 version of Office 365, you needed to have purchased the <strong>Office Pro Plus<\/strong> or <strong>Office 365 E3<\/strong> to have access to Power Pivot within Excel, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.myexcelonline.com\/meo-staging\/blog\/enabling-power-pivot-excel-2016\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">as I discuss in detail here<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>So now you can get Power Pivot in <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.myexcelonline.com\/meo-staging\/blog\/installing-power-pivot-excel-2010\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Excel 2010<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.myexcelonline.com\/meo-staging\/blog\/enabling-power-pivot-excel-2013\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Excel 2013<\/a>,<\/strong> and all Office 2016 products, such as:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Power Pivot Office 365 Home, Office 365 Personal, Office 365 Business Essentials, Office 365 Business, Office 365 Business Premium, Office 365 Enterprise E1<\/strong><\/p>\n<h3>You can check if your version of Office 365 has Power Pivot Excel available by clicking on the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/support.office.com\/en-us\/article\/what-s-new-in-office-365-95c8d81d-08ba-42c1-914f-bca4603e1426?ui=en-US&amp;rs=en-US&amp;ad=US\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Microsoft Office Support page here<\/a>.<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Happy Power Pivoting!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Microsoft has just announced that Excel Power Pivot will now be available in all Windows editions of Excel, which is awesome news and a step in the right direction.
